Us & Our Strategy

FC KoMu ry is dedicated to football and our community. Our goal is to create experiences of joy and success for the club's players, their families and the team's officials through the hobby of football. We are a hobby-growth style football club that accepts and encourages competitive activities if it is possible for the teams. The core of the operation is enabling a good and developing soccer hobby by respecting others and taking responsibility.

Cooperation & Environment

FC KoMu cooperates with the municipality of Mustasaari, sports and sport operators and companies. We create the best possible environment for the players to develop, and to develop joy and community spirit in the local area. Our operations are guided by a strong collective spirit and stakeholder cooperation.

Our Principles

The board coordinates the association's activities in cooperation with the officials. We encourage representatives from each team to join the board. This practice enables good and sustainable decisions that include the voice of the club's membership, as well as the flow of information to all team members. With its decisions, the board strives to create good conditions for the members and employees to pursue their football hobby.

Our story

KOMU Football Team (FT) was founded in -94, the club was registered in 2002 as FC KOMU and the juniors started operations the same year. The years 2000-2012 were the glory days of the club, when the representative team played mainly in the third division. Unfortunately, in 2013 and 2014, the representative team relegated two seasons in a row and currently remain happily in the fifth division.

Player Roadmap

Our player roadmap displays how activities progress in our club:

  • We start with a playing style in Family football, this activity is intended for 2-4 year olds with guardians

  • With the help of play, we continue to Ball-School, this is intended for 4-6 year olds, it is the club's traditional way of getting younger people interested in football to join

  • Usually after the Ball-School, young players are placed in hobby teams according to their age, the players will also become members of the football club

  • Goalkeeper training is for all members of the club, it is offered almost continuously throughout the season. The younger ones (under 14) train in their own shifts. For older goalkeepers, GK trainings are organized separately as needed

  • For adults and youth, we have a representative team in division five

  • Höntsä i.e. our hobby team is intended for all adults and young people (+15) who want to train and play football with a low threshold (no previous experience in KoMu or football is required, but of course you can)
